I recently reviewed pulp crime thriller Gangster Squad for Flick Feast:
When Ruben Fleischerâs Gangster Squad was first announced, with its stellar A-List cast, The Untouchables style plot and neo-noir aesthetic, one could be forgiven for expecting a gritty and brutal crime drama. The end result is anything but that however and instead opts for a campy and fun tone which does at times feel a little uneven but on the whole just about works.
